Finally, the new forum was set up by saxtus (big thanks!!).

All messages are converted into the new forum an can be read/answered as usual.

The design of the new forum does NOT really fit to the rest of the BrowseAmp website but I hope I can change that soon...

So have fun with the new forum  B)

I can't get this forum to remember my userid ... I've set the preferences but I still get logged on ad guest.
Is there anything else I can do?

Log-out, then click log-in and try clicking the "Remember me" check-box.
Alternative, download RoboForm (1,1MB)

edit:
I've found out the problem:
It seems that you are clicking the link from the BrowseAMP's official site menu bar.
Try SHIFT-CLICKING it to open it at a new page because when forum is framed, certain cookie restrictions are applied from the browser.

edit #2:
or you can bookmark the board address: http://browseamp.saxtus.gr/

The SHIFT-CLICK seems to work but I'm sure I'll forget from time-to-time. I'll look around at other options for starting the forum.  Thanks.

I also think this problem is browser specific. I have no problem to get logged in when accessing the forum in a frame.

Not quite browser specific. It is all about settings:
Both major browsers (MSIE & Mozilla) have at their security settings, the cookie validity window (or something like that).
Many users they leave this to default, either because they don't know it, either because the think that they are more secure this way.
Doesn't matter what option each user has, I think that because the majority of users don't touch (or don't want to touch) those options, we must do our best to make this forum as easy to use as we can.

For this reason (BTW) I have added a new mod to the board:
So from now on, when you view a post, is automatically marked as read and you don't have to go to link "Mark all posts as read"
