I think this is the closest plugin for what I want. I'llplay with it soon, but for you guys who've already played with it...

I want to create a fullscreen skin (easy enoug, IE in fullscreen with custom HTML page).
I want to browse songs by Artist, Album, Year, Genre, and maybe even by Comment (if possible for Genre's that aren't in the Genre list).
I want the normal playback features, and a button beside each MP3 listed to enqueue the song. A select all or play all button would also be a good idea.
I'd also like for atleast some of the ID3 tag info to be displayed with the song title.
And finally, and this is the tough part, will it work dynamically? By that I mean if I move a file from one folder to the next, change ID3 info, or add/delete MP3s, will this thing recognize this (no longer list deleted files, add new files where they belong, etc)?

For you who've been using this thing, will it do this? And can it be set up to run on a single machine instead of across a network?

Hey thanks for input and ideas.
I really can't understand why the media players out there now can't really do this stuff already.

[email protected]

Seperate your songs in directories by artist and album and use my skin. Then you will be adble to do part of what you are asking. Now the dynamic part, just forget it

[email protected]

about the dynamically thing...

BrowseAmp reads the folders everytime they are displayed. So if you delete a file it will not be shown again.

The problem is, when this file is part of the current playlist Winamp itself does NOT take notice of your delete operation and will show up an error message when trying to open that file for playback.

Most of your requested features are available. Just give BrowseAmp a try. If you don't like it - use the uninstaller...

[email protected]
