hardware interface?!

Hi, just found this site, it looks rly useful...

does anyone know if it would be possible to control this software without another computer, but with a custom designed hardware solution that can interface with my network... could perhaps be used to drive a vfd display with some buttons located near my wireless access point...

it would be able to be on the network and send/receive data along the network... but could it control winamp/retrieve id3 tag info?!

thanks for any feedback, experiences or advice! :)

also, dont suppose it could stream the audio down the network to the remote receiver, could it?! :)
