Search Problems
Using search to return accurate results

I'm creating a version designed to run on portable devices, so everything is kept small to limit load time. This means that I have used the length attribute on the #Playlist tag.

<#Playlist template="playlist_item.html" highlight="playlist_item_current.html" length="99" offset="0">

Because someone might want to play a song which isn't currently displayed on the playlist, I have implemented the search feature. The trouble is that when I search for a song I know is in the playlist but is not displayed in the current viewable list, the search will only return search results within the viewable list.

I.e. If I set the length attribute to 5, but I want to play the sixth song, how do I search for it?

Also, is there a way to page the playlist? Perhaps by using the length attribute combined with a startId?

You can use a different page without a limit when searching for tracks. Like I did in the eXtended skin. When you are finished searching you get back to the cropped playlist.
