ZoneAlarm
Getting BrowseAmp to work with it!

What do i need to do with ZoneAlarm to make it happy about allowing access over our lan to BrowseAmp.

I've got BrowseAmp on port 6060...

Welcome!

What you'll want to do is watch for the ZoneAlarm warning popup on the machine running BA and allow it access (regular and server).

Keep in mind that the free version of ZoneAlarm does not let you just open specific ports (you'll need the paid version for that).

Hi Azimuth,

That's the weird thing - ZoneAlarm doesn't kick up any alerts!

I'm using the full version...

Open the ZoneAlarm main window. Go to the 'Program Control' page. In the main tab set the security level to medium. In the 'programs' tab search for Winamp and set the green markers for access and server. Add Winamp if it is not already there.
