Is there a way to support HTTP requests such as this...

http://baserver/folder.jpg?src=<#Curren...tTrackDirectory urlencoded=1>

Would be nice for integrating BA into other server pages.

I didn't notice your thread before posting my own thread ("Blank" hyperlink command for client-side scriptin), seems like we are having the same problem.

What you want to achieve is already possible with the JavaScript XMLHttpRequest object (see: Get dynamic Web content with HTTPRequest), server side includes or with other techniques, but it requires that each BrowseAmp command is saved in its own file, which is then requested/included in the page, in which you want to show the response of the command.

I think I am already doing this in a way. I select a skin coded specifically to return only the data of interest...

http://guest:[email protected]:8088/index.ht...tml?skin=status

The status skin is just this...

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE> BrowseAmp-Info </TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<#status on_play=Playing on_stop=Stopped on_pause=Paused> <#songtitle>  -<#SongRemainMin>:<#SongRemainSec> <#SongPositionMin>:<#SongPositionSec>
</BODY>
</HTML>

I suppose I could do the same thing for returning the album art of the currently playing track.
