Problem at Winamp startup

Hi,

I use TouchTone, a jukebox interface for touch screen monitore, which itself launches Winamp5 in the background.
Every time I do so, I get the following message, in a message window with title "gen_brow2":
" ist kein Gleitkommawert
As a consequence, the web server is not automatically started.

I don't get that when I use Winamp on its own though.

Is there any chance someone had a similar problem before and found a solution?

Cheers

The TT forum has the answer.
The first switch is /class=TouchTone. Winamp usually runs with a "Window Class" called "Winamp v1.x".  TouchTone has to find a window called "the window class name" and send commands to it.  So if you were to have multiple instances of Winamp running then TouchTone wouldn't know which one to use, it would just use the first one that the OS returns, which may not be the right one.  So I make it "touchtone" because there won't be any other windows by that name.

If the window class name is modified as described above, BrowseAmp cannot find the Winamp instance and won't work at all. Maybe the shown error message is not very useful... Maybe I can fix this some day.

Is there any chance that this could be configurable in browseamp.  I just upgraded from Winamp 2.9x and BrowseAmp 2.05 to Winamp 5.04 and BrowseAmp 2.09.  I was using the /CLASS syntax since I run multiple instance of winamp because I have multiple soundcards and it was working then but now i am getting the error message.

I will add that feature in the next version. Thank you for the hint.

Hi

From the description BA is just what i was looking for.  :)

Sad to say i couldn't test it because it causes WinAMP to crash right on start  :(

I use WA 5.05 and BA 2.09 on XP PRO.  Any Idea what might be the Problem?

I use WA 5.05, BA 2.09, and XP with no problems...

My first guess would be a bad plugin. Are you using any? If so, disable them all and then enable each, one at a time, to see which one is causing problems.

I found the Problem!  :smart:

It seems BA has Problems with WA Modern Skins. I had to disable "gen_ff.dll" which is responsible for the new skin feature :(

I think you are the second person to experience that, but, I use a modern skin with no problems. I also think it is just one skin that does not work. Maybe MMD? Which were you using?
