How to decode the Song ID

hi

i'm on progging a PHP amp.
this will be prefect for big libraries, becaus your can seach some thousend songs for idv3 tags in less than a second.

and much more.


the onlies problem i've got, is, how to decode the songID.

i already found this.
the first eight chars are defineing the song, and the rest is the songnumber in the playlist.

but how are the eight chars build??


it's because i want to make the PHP code building itself.

You are right, the last (9..n) chars are the position in the playlist.

The first eight chars are the CRC32 checksum encoded as hex values. You can use php's crc32() function to generate the checksum.
