Hi!

I'm proud to present the new BrowseAmp 2.04 :D
It's a pre release 'cause the help is not up to date. I hope I can finish work on it within the next days...

Ok, so let's talk about the new version.

The major improvements are[list][*]redesign of the BrowseAmp config window
[*]new logging options
[*]file upload
[*]new cool skin
[/list]
redesign of the BrowseAmp config window
I had to add so many editfields, checkboxes and other stuff that I decided to introduce a tab control to make things much easier. It is also possible to minimize the window or make it stay-on-top.

new logging options
As you can see in the pic above there are a lot of new logging options. You can choose what is logged where. It is also possible to open the logfile directly with an external viewer (view logfile) or delete it. There is a new HTML command called logfile that shows the logfile on host machines.

file upload
You can now upload files from remote computers. Choose you favourite options in the user management window

new skin (eXtended)
Yeah, I'm really happy to release my new skin. It uses the most functions of the new BrowseAmp with a lot of JavaScript. It is designed to work with mozilla as well as with M$ Internet Explorer, has a nice show page and uses cover art. Must see!!

other new features
allow src= outside home folder
HTML command added: logfile (shows the logfile)
HTML command added: lock (locks the winamp windows, nobody can use the winamp window - or change your music - while it's locked)
HTML command added: equalizer (toggles equalizer on/off)
HTML Tag added: <#LockStatus> (shows the lock state)
HTML Tag added: <#SongTotalSec> (self explaining...)
HTML Tag added: <#SongTotalSecRemain> (self explaining...)
HTML Tag added: <#EQState> (on or off)
<#browser_drives> feature, displays the volume label if available
<#date>, <time> option added: format=xxx (seethis thread)
<#browser_files> option added: extension=xxx:xxx  (choose file extensions you want to see, don't use this option to show all)

bugfixes
fixed: src=xxx command didn't display some files (thx to SteveB)
fixed: dir=../../../../../ showed the root folder (thx to Henrico)
fixed: http://localhost/../browseamp.ini breaks the document root!

Thats all for now from my side. Have fun with testing it and please drop a line if you like/hate something.

No, it just contains an installer exe (virus free!!). Just open it and follow the instructions.

And the downloaded zip file is empty... even after I disabled virus & spam filters.   I don't get it.   I'll try from work Monday and see if that if it works there.   Looking forward!

Hello Henry ... Long time no talk.

I've been very happy with the old version (along with Saxtus skin)  but it looks like you have a great version with 2.04! Congratulations.

I'll add some comments in the future ... I hope all is well with you.

Take Care - Clay

Have fun and please report errors/suggestions!  :-D

@Clay
Nice to see you. Many improvements have been applied since the 2.00 release. You need to try the new features. Can't wait to read your comments.

The download from the main page is ok.

It also looks like the extednded skin has broken album art for me (unless I manually fixed the early one).
<img src="<#artist urlencoded=1>.jpg?src=<#CurrentTrackDirectory urlencoded=1>" width="<#inifile section=layout key=coverwidth default=160>" height="<#inifile section=layout key=coverheight default=160>" border="1" >

Thanks a lot for the hints!!

I changed the album art to <#artist urlencoded=1>.jpg for my personal use and forgot to switch back to the original version before creating the installer package. I have corrected this issue, please download again from the main page. The link is also corrected. Sorry   :whistling:
