Is there a function that can do this...

Say you have your playlist display 10 songs at a time.

I'd like to have buttons that change the display up or down in the list. So with each click of the UP button, the ten songs above those being displayed currently would display... the DOWN would do the same in the other direction.

Essentially "scrolling" the display just like a jukebox  ;)

use: printValue("<#playlist_title>");
Then you cut the title of the current playlist row.

edit: that was for your previous post...

You could try to do some JavaScript to set the offset value. I think that should work but I'll try it tomorrow (It's 2am here...).

Oh my god, this is so perfect!

I searched for a webpanel solution which even can add whole directories to the playlist.

I found it!

And for the German people here: Ein Hoch auf die Uni Ulm! :-D

Aaron...
I put in the Script function in my main HTML page, then used the "code" portion in the playlist_row.html and every song turned into the playing song. Can you show a few examples of how you would use the JS in the template files?
The playlists are actually a different page from the main index page. You can download my skin and look at playlist.html and the template files.

Here's the link... TTunes 1.4

Just another question:

Would it be possible to have a little javascript, a ticker, which starts to count when a song starts? Following situation:

(1) You start the webpanel
(2) You click a song to play
(3) The ticker starts and shows me the actual song and the percentage which is already played
(4) At the end of the song the whole site gets refreshed and the ticker shows the new song

Should be possible with javascript, I only want that the page refreshes every time the next song is played.
Possible?

flavour, I've got some really good javascript to do just that sort of thing. It reads in the current track position and takes a timestamp of the current time. From this, you can easilly work out where the song currently is. And it does the auto-refresh at the end of the song as you suggest. It can also display time remaining.

I'll be posting a copy of my XML skin that does all this stuff very soon, but I'm waiting to see if Henry implements the "now playing" image URL that someone suggested in another post. I'd quite like to add that before releasing.

It's already done! The tag is: <#CurrentTrackDirectory>. But I didn't have time yet to release the new version 'cause I'm playing around with a file-cache to increase the keep-playlist-alive (adding a random track) speed. I hope I can finish this tomorrow.

Whenever you're ready...I'm maxed out on other things just now anyway, so no rush. I also need to write some //comments into the skin before releasing.

<#CurrentTrackDirectory>?   Cool!  Thanks Henry!  Can't wait until it's posted (no rush of course) :)
