I thought using PHP in Browseamp is not in Browseamp, yet.
I'm a PHP coder and if Browseamp allows PHP I wold be very happy ;)
But now I will become the photoshop file from my fried to build the skin in a pre-pre-pre beta :blink:
The download link will be in my sig.

DigitalDevil - Powerweb for Browseamp V2

@Team: Is it possible to include in browseamp V2 a replace for the playlist letters (songs...) Then I cloud take the cool font into my skin :)

e.g.:  <#playlist template=templates/XXX.html highlight=templates/XXX.html offset=-2 length=10 replace=replacefolder_for_letters format=gif> (menas that in the replace folder are the picturs a.gif.... and they will be replaced by browseamp...)
// PowerWEB - Browseamp V2 Skin

No it was only to give some tips, i think this can be made in HTML/javascript....

PHP in Browseamp is possible, but you need to run your own webserver and point the links in the script to the browseamp server on a different port!

like <a href="http://localhost:81/browser.html?volume=<?php print $volume;?>":>

The big difference is that you must have your ocalhost PHP server :(

I think php would work. Just set up a PHP server on the BrowseAmp server machine and use some php code as a wrapper for the browseamp server.
All requests are sent to the php server, he feeds the browseamp server and backwards...

There is a thread about php stuff maybe you can take a look there.

I don't want to produce HTML output, it's too specific. I think you can use JavaScript to parse the string and replace each character with an img tag.

example:
var Title="<#SongTitle>";  // string inserted by BrowseAmp
for(int x=0; x<Title.length; x++)
  document.write("<img src='font/" + Title[x] + ".gif'>");

Sorry, the code above was a bit buggy. So here is a tested version:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript">
var Title="<#SongTitle>";  // string inserted by BrowseAmp
for(var x=0; x<Title.length; x++)
 {
 document.write("<img src='font/" + Title.charAt(x) + ".gif' >");
 }
</script>
