After reading your topic, I think you use the ip adress:port of the laptop or http://localhost:port on the laptop ?

You need to use http://(server_ip):port   :)

Even if, it could be a firewall missconfiguration .... you access to share but not to the BrowseAmp Web server

You can't subsitute the 2 of them

You need to use <#medialibrary template=filename empty=filename basequery='type==0'> instead of <#playlist template=filename highlight=filename length=# offset=#> and then in  the template html file, you can use <#medialibrary_title>

Even if, <#medialibrary_title> and <#playlist_songtitle> return the same data .... and <#medialibrary_artist> return a empty variable

You can use <#medialibrary_title> but you need to use Winamp 5.x and the media library

show the title of a media library entry

<#medialibrary_title>

Use this in a template for medialibrary. The tag is replaced with the title of an entry.

Parameter
none

Example
<a href="index.html?file=<#medialibrary_filename urlencoded=true>&page=medialibrary" target="_top"><b><#medialibrary_title></b></a>

Even if, chop off the artist with a script is a good solution  :whistling:

A piece of Javascript code wich do a list of All "different" Artist in the current playlist

In my head.html page

<script>
var1=0; // counter variable
tab=new Array; // tab
</script>

In playlist_row1.html

<script>
 tab[var1]="<#playlist_artist>";
   if (tab[var1]!=tab[var1-1])            // compare current playlist read with the last one
     {document.write(tab[var1])};    // if it's not the same ... write the playlist_artist on the page
   var1=var1+1;                               // increment variable to go on the next line of tab
</script>

Result :

Santana
Feist
Emmanuel Santarromana
George Michael
Emir Kusturica & No Smoking Orchestra
jazztronik

:)

Result display is pretty crappy but you can do everything you want with  :-p

I don't understand exactly what you want to do

But if you want to regroup same Artist or Album
I think you can do that with a javascript wich look at variable <#playlist_artist>

Some few request  :rolleyes:

It would be great if a HTML Tag like <#connected_user> (with the number of connected user) and <#list_connected_user> (with the name of all connected user) will be add  :)

I would like to have more information about who is connecting to my BrowseAmp Server directly on my main page

And, I think the log system is pretty rudimentary.
It would be great to have option like a day-by-day log for example with a log file for each day
and option to log only some user and on the oposite log everybody except some users.

It would fantastic if the log file will be created compressed NTFS Attribute if the Hard disk is on NTFS (or just an option if the detection is too hard to code)

thank you  :)

After test and opimize it,  I share my skin 'Gortex Base Skin'

My Goal with this skin was :

- share my playlist (show what I'm currently listenning )
- Download my playlist the more easiest way as possible
- Show cover of Current title's Album

And that's all  B)

I don't manage Winamp online

I solve my problem alone  :-p

<a href="<#playlist_songtitle> ~ <#Metadata field=album>.mp3?dir=%2E%2E&dir=<#playlist_directory>&download=<#browser_enc_filename>" title="<#browser_filesize> MB, download with 'save link as'"><font color="#000000"> <#playlist_songtitle> ~ <#Metadata field=album></b></a>

With this code, the download file is named "song name - artist ~ album.mp3"

I Modified playlist_hlrow2.html and playlist_row2.html

And Finally, It do exactly what I need !

hi,
first of all, thank you for this great software :)

I installed it on my PC and everything was OK.
After looking the HTML page (which is a little bit confuse ... comments will be helpfull  :rolleyes: )
I decided to modify them.
My goal was to propose to view and download mp3 which is in my current playlist.

So, playlist_hlrow2.html

  <tr>
  <td nowrap class="highlight"><#playlist_index></td>
  <td nowrap class="highlight" width="100%">  <a href="browser.html?download=<#browser_enc_filename>" title="<#browser_filesize> MB, download with 'save link as'"><font color="#000000"><#playlist_songtitle> ~ <#Metadata field=album></b></a></td>
  <td nowrap class="highlight" align="center"> <#playlist_songlengthmin>:<#playlist_songlengthsec> </a></td>
  </tr>

And playlist_row2.html

  <tr bgcolor="#000033">
  <td nowrap><#playlist_index></td>
  <td nowrap width="100%">  <a href="browser.html?download=<#browser_enc_filename>" title="<#browser_filesize> MB, download with 'save link as'"><#playlist_songtitle> ~ <#Metadata field=album></a></td>
  <td nowrap align="center"> <#playlist_songlengthmin>:<#playlist_songlengthsec> </a></td>
  </tr>

Now, links in the playlist return to the mp3, *Job done*
But, When I click on it, the download file is all the time name browser.html with different size and if I rename it with mp3 extension, everything is OK

I try with original skin and it's the same, it's pretty boring

Is that possible to do in another way ?  :unsure:
