ahh.... I found the problem.
If the "browser" is in a directory that there is no songs/dirs then the search comes up blank.
I thought the search stared from the root that you set in Browseamp... it does not. ;-)

thanks for all the help!

I see you changed the action= from "plist.html" to "browser.html"

Now all that displays for me is a blank page... do you get an output?

the problem is that the EXACT SAME form & page works perfectly for ' search_playlist_string ' but does not work at all for ' search_files_string '

I have attached my entire skin. The problem file "playlist.html" has a comment pointing out the only line difference. PLEASE run the code on your PC and let me know what your results are.

Hi Henry,
thanks for the code. I still cannot get it to work. If I replacet search_files_string with search_playlist_string it works perfectly.
Below is my code, please let me know if you can see anything that would be causing "nothing" to happen when I click the search button.

I'm trying to figure out how to get what use to work on my skin to work again...
in the past I used a text box, submit button, and check boxes to set the search options. This no longer works.

Here's my code:

         <form action="plist.html" method="get" name="search_form" target="iframe_list" class="standard" id="search_form">
          <input name="search_string" type="text" id="search_string" value="<#search_files_string>" size="20">
          <input type="submit" name="search_button" value="  search  "><br>
          <!--  <input name="search_for_directories" type="checkbox" id="search_for_directories" value="true" checked>folders  -->
          <input name="search_files_string" type="checkbox" id="search_files_string" value="<#search_files_string>">files
            <input name="search_playlist_string" type="checkbox" id="search_playlist_string" value="<#search_playlist_string>" checked>
            <!--  <input name="search_in_subdirs" type="checkbox" id="search_in_subdirs" value="true" checked>  -->
          playlist
        </form>

help is highly appreciated!

BDB is not really a joke, he was just pointing out that the skin has a very dark color scheme.

It is VERY nice Henry... great job!

for some reason, my search function no longer works.

I think I just need a new set os eyes or two to look at it.

The attached HTML just uses the standard browser.html to display the result list in the target "iframe_list"

Help is appreciated!

thanks!
Aaron

Azimuth,
I love the addition of the cover art!

Can you have it download the art automatically if it does not exist?

Also, can you have an option to use a larger version of the cover art?

I'm not sure how they got there but in the Annie Lennox folder I have 5 JPGs in this format:
AlbumArt_{9843F6D5-3B60-4B09-816D-9362A85A5400}_Large.jpg
AlbumArt_{9843F6D5-3B60-4B09-816D-9362A85A5400}_Small.jpg
AlbumArtSmall.jpg

There are two _Large & _Small, one for each album... but only one AlbumArtSmall.jpg?

Azmuth,
I get two problems I'm sure are related...

1) I get a runtime error in line 52 frequently with 1.4d. Not sure why.
2) I click a song on the playlist, it immediatly jumps to around 0:49 or :053 or 0:56, etc of the song and plays about 4 seconds, then repeats from 0:5x point until the runtime error occurs then it plays normal fomr where ever it is.
3) when I clear the error, the problem repeats itself.

also, the progress bar does not move.

Maybe a flash related bug?

Also, i think i found a bug.

When I use TTUNES if I choose a song directly from the playlist window, it plays for exactly 11 seconds and then restarts the same song, over and over. when I change to other skins it does not do this.

just thought i'd let you know.

Azmuth...
I love your skin. One thing that I've been battling, and you can see it on your skin also becasue you use the playlist as an iframe, is that you must cannot see all the songs in a playlist and still use the offset function. It is a pain (to me) to have to change screens just to play a song that is farther down (or back up) the list. I do not know js so I cannot write code to fix this. Have you thought about it? It would be nice to have a scroll bar on the main playlist so you can access all the songs at a glance.

Is there a function that can do this...

Say you have your playlist display 10 songs at a time.

I'd like to have buttons that change the display up or down in the list. So with each click of the UP button, the ten songs above those being displayed currently would display... the DOWN would do the same in the other direction.

Essentially "scrolling" the display just like a jukebox  ;)

I must be missing something...

I put in the Script function in my main HTML page, then used the "code" portion in the playlist_row.html and every song turned into the playing song.

Can you show a few examples of how you would use the JS in the template files?

OR maybe henry will build this into the plug-in and just let us set a variable?  :-D
