I am using W7 64bit, winamp 5.581.

I'm so glad that there has been a new version of Browseamp!!!! I'm still using it for private parties.

I've discovered an error in the latest version 3.1
I'm using IE7, Windows XP and Winamp 5.531

When you are using the Extended plugin, and go to the Browserwindow then when you are scrolling down to the bottom it keeps you getting back at the last entry of the playlist. So far no others errors have been occuring. :)

Keep up the great work!

Hey all,

I have two pc's; one one which all the files are which plays the songs,
and one pc to select all the songs on with an internal network.

The main pc is 192.168.0.2
and the Select pc is 192.168.0.3

I have set browseamp to work on port 80.
And i made an guest account called 'gast' with the password 'gast'.

A while ago I was able to make the startpage for internet explorer on the Select pc
http://gast:[email protected]/index2.html
This way I could login automatically.

But that doesn't work anymore!
Does anybody see what I am missing???

Hey Henry,

Since you have implemented the caching in 2.05, browseamp works great again with the search function!
I'm using it frequently!  B)

I only saw a few minor errors when browseamp is caching.

If Browseamp is caching the songs, then you can't find any song untill it has been cached. So if you have a large library you have to wait till the whole caching has been finished before you can search songs.

Keeping this in minds, would it be possible to cache only one time (when I want it to cache). If I tell Browseamp to cache the songs in 0 seconds, then it imediately goes caching all songs.
Maybe you can add a function that when I fill in 0 seconds, it doesn't cache anymore.

Thanks so far.
Mario

Hmm, I have also been busy to do something like this.
I placed a song in the Windows start-up folder, so that Winamp will automatically play the file. And I have placed Internet explorer in the same startup folder, so that it will automatically run Browseamp as startpage.

If you set some options in Winamp, it is possible not to let it show on the desktop, so that anyone can control Browseamp, and not Winamp.

Hope you have something usefull out of this.

I've been thinking about this alot, and I think that the "X per hour" would be the best for the users.

With the first option users don't know what's going on, if they have to wait everytime -> they think the computer is slow or something like that  ;)

In my view there will be only one user who's logged in, and that several people can access (with a blank password). This way someone will add tracks till he's satiesfied, and then let it go on to another.
It would be the best to let the user add a maximum of minutes per time.
That means they can add several minutes of music, and after a set maximum they can't add any more songs.
The person who's next after the first user, can only add the next tracks after a few minutes or so.

This would be the ideal situation, but I don't know if that's reachable for you Henry? Maybe it's way to complicated, I really have no idea about it.

Great!!!  B)

A few questions:
- What does it mean, the 'keepplaylistalive' ? Is this the idea from Juido to play a random track?

- Will there be a function implemented where users can add files one at a certain time? So that they can only add music every 60 seconds.

Hey there,

I've had this problem with all the 1.99 beta's.
Let me try to tell what happens.

If you have files in your playlist, and you doubleclick a song in the Windows Explorer, the file will not be played. It will be removed immidiately.
However, if you have the option 'remove played song' off, the file will be played as you want to.

Can someone reproduce this?

You have lots of ideas Juido
Maybe you can make a topic named "Juido's feature request topic" :-p (just joking).

But there are some excellent ideas you have.
Do you use Browseamp at party's with drunk people, like I do? :)

Wow, now you have mentioned this, I checked it out, and it happens to me too!

I work with Winamp 2.90 final, browseamp 2 beta 2 and the latest Sqr-soft plug-in...
Even when I use another output plug-in and want to access the Sqr settings, it crashes.

Heheh, ok thanks for the answer  ;)

BUT,
When i'm letting my brains go thinking, is there a way, when I click the searchbutton that it will go back to the rootfolder, and then search for the files? *Hopes it has come with a great invention*  :-p

But is this gona change to the option window, or will it stay in the browser?
This stays in the browser.
But if you mean to set a default search mode and remove the checkboxes from the page I'd say you can define the search mode with hidden fields in the form and remove the checkboxes.  :-D
Ok, I know how to do this. That's not so hard to accomplish.

But (i hope i'm not getting on your nurves), if I have my directory's in this way ie:
f:\top40 and
f:\dutch

then how can I search automatically in these two folders, when I'm located in the dutch folder? Is there a way to do this, or is this impossible due to browser limits or whatsoever? Really, I don't know this, I only know how to handle with html. What I don't want to hear is that I have to click on the 'back to standard folder' button :P
If you could help me with these, i'dd by very happy  B)
